Wine Enthusiast, Matt Kettmann

"Juicy plum, maraschino cherry and light juniper aromas make for a compelling nose on this single-vineyard expression. The palate lands broadly with strawberry and boysenberry flavors that sit atop a warm brioche note and are lifted by lavender elements."

2024 WALT Rosella's Pinot Noir

Tasting notes

Perfumed aromas of crushed raspberry, fresh strawberry, and red rose petals fill the glass. The palate is plush yet vibrant, with a seamless texture and lifted acidity that lends freshness and energy. A graceful stony minerality carries through the long, refined finish.

Vintage Notes

The 2024 vintage began with much needed winter rainfall that revitalized the soil and set the stage for healthy vine growth, and a balanced crop. Summer was marked by mostly moderate temperatures with a brief burst of warmtharound Labor Day, where well-developed canopies shielded the fruit from excess heat. As harvest approached, mild daytime temperatures and cool nights arrived, allowing for steady ripening into September. The resulting wines showcase beautiful color and depth, with precise acidity, rich texture, and concentrated flavors.
