"...the 2024 ‘Shea Vineyard’ Pinot Noir offers beautiful red rose petals with ripe peach, kumquat zest and salty nuances. The palate is beautifully textured with ripe strawberry and Yakima cherry flavors alongside salted walnut. Watch this beauty evolve over the next decade. Drink 2025-2035"

2024 WALT Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir

Tasting notes

Lifted aromas of fresh strawberry, just-ripe raspberry, and ruby grapefruit mingle with forest floor and dried rose petal. Supple yet finely structured, the palate balances restrained red fruit with savory depth and a subtle mineral thread. Fine-boned tannins and vibrant acidity draw the wine into a long, quietly powerful finish.

Vintage Notes

The 2024 vintage began with abundant winter rainfall that replenished groundwater and supported healthy vine growth across the Willamette Valley. A cool spring delayed flowering and fruit set, while periods of summer warmth advanced the season, with late-August rain refreshing the vines ahead of an early-September heat wave. Cool autumn conditions followed, allowing flavors, sugars, and acidity to develop in balance through a steady, unhurried harvest. The resulting wines offer excellent concentration and expressive fruit, with vibrant acidity, depth, and structure.
